MacroMoose Today screen: 0 calories left, the mountain is full and a flag is planted at the summit. Protein, carbs and fat bars sit below it.

Made for the daily climb.

Tracking sticks when it's quick and you trust the numbers. MacroMoose is built around both.

Your calorie goal is the summit.

The mountain fills as you eat, and a flag goes up when you reach your goal. Protein, carbs and fat sit right below it, so you always know what's left for the day.

  • Tap a macro to flip between eaten and left
  • Fiber and sugar are one tap away
  • Meals get a quick note, like "High protein"
Today screen partway through the day: 713 calories left, with a marker partway up the mountain.

Log a meal in seconds.

The foods you eat most are waiting at the top, with the amount you had last time already filled in. Most meals take a tap or two.

  • One tap to re-log a recent food
  • Save meals and recipes, or copy yesterday
  • Scan a barcode or snap the nutrition label
Log food sheet with barcode, label scan and quick add buttons, a saved breakfast, and recent foods each with a plus button.

Numbers you can trust.

Every food is calculated by weight, down to the gram, so 5.08 oz of ground beef counts as 5.08 oz. Food data comes from the USDA and brand labels, and label scans read the actual package in your hand.

  • Log in grams, ounces or servings
  • Reminders about raw vs. cooked weight
  • Fix any food's numbers once, and it stays fixed
Editing an entry of 93/7 ground beef: 5.08 ounces equals 144 grams, 219 calories, 29.5 grams of protein.

See the trend, not the noise.

Your weight bounces around day to day. The trend line smooths that out, so you can see which way you're really heading and how fast.

  • Weekly calorie averages against your goal
  • Moose Tracks counts the days you logged
  • Export everything to a spreadsheet anytime
Progress screen: a week of calorie bars near the goal line, and a weight trend down 0.4 pounds per week, right on pace.

Why I built it

Hi, I'm James. I track my macros every day, and the apps I tried were either guessing at the numbers or buried under ads, upsells and busy screens. So I built the tracker I wanted to use: accurate, fast, and quiet.

MacroMoose is in a small private beta right now. If you track too, I'd love your help making it better.

James

  • No ads
  • No clutter
  • No guilt trips
  • Delete your data anytime
